The clinicians at Perth Prosthodontics are registered dental specialists, focusing on reconstructive, aesthetic and implant dentistry. We work closely with you and your referring dental practitioner to offer our expertise from diagnosis and treatment planning through to the execution of the highest possible quality of prosthodontic treatment. Your dental practitioner may refer you to see us, however a referral to our practice is not essential.

How We Work

An initial consultation with the prosthodontist consisting of a comprehensive dental examination and the collection of necessary diagnostic information is required, in order to understand your specific dental needs. Based on this diagnostic assessment, your prosthodontist will discuss the clinical findings and diagnoses, treatment options and provide an estimate of treatment cost on the day of the initial consultation.

For complex dental conditions, a diagnostic wax up on physical or digital dental casts and a mock up will be performed, allowing for the better visualisation and communication of the recommended treatment. For all patients, a comprehensive treatment plan is developed to address your specific dental needs.

We believe the best solution is often the least invasive and customized to the individual. Before removing and replacing your teeth our primary aim will always be to save your teeth first.

Your Prosthodontist is a registered dental specialist

A prosthodontist is a dental board (AHPRA) registered dental specialist in reconstructive, aesthetic and implant dentistry, who is devoted to the rehabilitation and maintenance of oral health, function and aesthetics through the restoration of compromised teeth and the replacement of missing teeth and oral maxillofacial tissues.

Beyond the Bachelor degree of a general dentist, a prosthodontist has an additional postgraduate degree of Doctor of Clinical Dentistry that is attained through three years full time formal advanced training at a university program that is accredited by the Australian Dental Council (ADC).

With specialist expertise and a good comprehension of the latest evidence based dental literature on treatment material and techniques, prosthodontists can provide the highest possible quality of dental care for their patients.
